Challenge


The Hertz required a corporate commercial video that could communicate its premium international rental service to both corporate partners and internal training audiences. The goal was to visually simplify complex processes — from booking to vehicle delivery — while highlighting brand partnerships and global reach across Hong Kong and China.


Despite multi-location logistics, the production encountered no major technical issues thanks to detailed pre-production planning and robust equipment preparation.



Approach


The creative direction emphasized storytelling through seamless motion — illustrating the customer’s journey from signing the rental agreement to the arrival of a Hertz driver at the pickup point.


Pre-Production:


  • Developed a detailed script and storyboard approved over two client meetings.

  • Planned each scene to ensure consistency in tone, timing, and message delivery.


Production:


  • Two-day shoot across multiple locations – Central, Pok Fu Lam, and the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge.

  • Cast two professional actors with hair and makeup support.

  • Crew: 1 Director • 2 Videographers • 1 Assistant • 1 Producer • 1 Stylist.

  • Used drone shots, gimbal tracking, and slow-motion sequences to enhance cinematic flow.

  • Client monitored scenes live through a wireless video monitor.


Post-Production:


  • Integrated licensed international footage to depict cross-border services.

  • Conducted color grading and After Effects animation for logo, tagline, and text overlays.



Result / Impact


The final 60-second 4K video effectively communicated Hertz’s brand promise — “Seamless Mobility Across Borders.”


 It was used in corporate presentations, investor pitches, and staff training across Asia-Pacific.


 The luxurious visuals and practical narrative strengthened Hertz’s positioning as a trusted, premium rental provider bridging Hong Kong and mainland China.
